Today I wore my cozy oversized knit sweater from H&M with a comfy flowy chiffon top, black jeans and my favorite ankle boots. I layered my much loved necklaces ("Krysta" necklace, unlock my heart layered chains, and have a heart necklace). Obviously it's my comfy day, but this layered casual outfit still looks stylish, and my double braid head peice makes any lazy hair day look effortlessly chic.

Lily Donaldson
Model of the Moment
For those of you who read my closet diary, this picture will look familiar because it's one of the photos that is haning in my closet!! Lily Donaldson is a supermodel that I personaly love and adore. Standing at 5 feet 10 inches her high fashion and elgant look has helped her make her way through the fashion world since 2003 when she was scouted by Select Model Managment at the age of 16. Since then, she's graced the covers of many fashion magazines such as: Elle, Marie Claire, i-D, and American, British, Italian, UK, China and Australian Vogue. She's been in countless advertisments, and has walked for almost every top fashion designers of the world including: Alexander McQueen, Anna Sui, Chanel, Chloé, Christian Dior, Diane von Furstenberg, Dolce & Gabbana, Fendi, Giorgio Armani, Gucci, Hermès, John Galliano, Lanvin, Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, Missoni, Prada, Oscar de la Renta, Ralph Lauren, Roberto Cavalli, McCartney, Valentino, Vera Wang, Versace, Vivienne Westwood, Yves Saint Laurent, Zac Posen and the list goes on! You can see not only by her photos, but by her gorgeous face, toned body, and killer legs you can see why she's so successful. It's no wonder why Vogue Paris named her one of the top 30 models of the 2000's.
She appeared on the May 2007 American Vogue cover with other beautiful models as one of the worlds next top supermodels. I remember this issue, they are all gorgeous!!

ILIS Reverie Fashion Show
Last night, March 11, 2010, The Illinois Institute of Art-Schaumburg's (my school) Reverie Fashion show; produced by the fashion show production class, was a complete sucess. I am so proud to have been apart of it, not only through my education but I got to walk the runway!
All the proceeds, from that night as well as numerous amount of fundraising and volunteers, went to Children's Memorial Hospital of Chicago. They raised and an astonishing $4,000!! It was such an inspiring experience and I can't wait to be apart of the next years fashion show, behind the scenes, helping to put it all together. Last night they set the bar high and I'm soo so proud. It was an absolute success. Design students got good reviews and there were people that wanted to actually buy the dress and wanted to do a look book with their designs.
After the show my family and I went to RAM Restraunt and Brewery here in Schaumburg and let me tell you, it was amazing. The Veggie Burger was fantastic, best I've tasted EVER, and their service was excellent. The managment really knows how to treat their customers. I recomend this place to ANYONE. The atmosphere is a great family, friend enviornment. just awesome!

Oscars 2010 Red Carpet
I was in love with the elegant gowns that graced the red carpet tonight at the 2010 Academy Awards. I was pleasantly surprised with so many beautiful dresses, it was so hard to choose..I loved them all (well, not ALL, there were some that definitely scared me) so I tried to narrow it down to my favorites. Enjoy!
BEST DRESSED*Sarah Jessica Parker
in Chanel Haute Couture and Fred Leighton Jewlery
(SJP, my lover...Perfection; Can she ever go wrong in fashion? Hell no! She looks absolutely Amazing!! She took a risk and I think it was a risk well done. So different from the a-lines, fishtails, and long trains that were running the carpet...my favorite of the night.)
*Zoe Saldana
in Givenchy
(I don't see why everyone is bashing this dress. I ADORE it! She took a risk and it worked out beautifully. The color is just amazing and the textured train gives volume and flatters her in such a subdle elegant way; I love the sparkled bodice and the belt at the waist...it all works together perfectly. Quit hating!!)
*Miley Cyrus
in a champaign colored Jenny Packham gown
(Although I've never been a Miley fan I have to admit that her red carpet fashion choices are always dead on! This dress is beautiful, no doubt about it.)
Demi Moore
in Versace
(The blend of elegance of the ruffles and the glamour of the layered chiffon bodice makes her one hot mama, which she is! The color looks amazing against her skin tone.)

Cameron Diaz
in Oscar de la Renta
(She looks so elegant and sexy, so vintage Hollywood, I couldn't NOT absolutely love this. So pretty!)
Kristen Stewart
in blue silk satin organza gown by Monique Lhuillier
(Kristen (my Bella), I didn't know what to expect from her but look at her! A complete 360- So sophisticated and glamorous, I love it)in blue silk satin organza gown by Monique Lhuillier
WORST DRESSED
Charlize Theron
in Christian Dior
(What was she thinking!? She looks like a hot mess. The dress looks like something Lady Gaga should be wearing, although I will almost never diss a Dior gown, this one is just not for the Oscars! The red lipstick tops the drag look. I think you're fabulous but this is just not workin', in any way.)

The Daily Love
Oscar Wisdom:
"Make sure you are the leading role in your own life before you're the supporting role in someones else's."
Closet Diaries
Fringy fringe!
Shirt is from H&M for $5 (major steal!) with a denim vest( I bought it as a denim jacket from a thrift shop and just cut off the sleeves), black leggings and a fringe necklace from Forever 21. My fringe boots are from...oh no, I forget where their from! Oops!

Oscars going vintage?
So, you are all well aware of my recent love for vintage fashion. WELL, In honor of the 2010 Oscars I found a dress that I would wear to the Oscars if I were invited: I am in love with this dress..it's perfect!
1950's Vintage Royal-Purple Couture Hourglass Evening/Party Dress
Of course I would change it up a bit, make the dress longer, have the sequins go down to the knees to create dramatic fishtail hemline (it's more academy awards appropriate). The neckline will then be altered to one of two options: a sweetheart-shaped strappless bodice, or a deeper V bodice. The color is just mezmorizing, it would look so good on the red carpet; contrasting colors, I would for sure be a showstopper :)
If you aren't aware of what a fishtail hemline is here is a picture of a random dress with a dramatic fishtail: what I would love to see on my vintage blue Oscar gown.
Some more fabulous vintage clothes
Vintage sequin blue evening blouse circa 1980
Well, apparently I like the color blue...
let's just be honest, the color is GORGEOUS!!

CHANEL inspired vintage bag
I'm Beyond OBSESSED!
This purse is my ultimate heartbreaker! I am in love with Chanel's quilted chain bag. Since I can't afford the real thing I have been looking for one inspired by it. Recently I've been surfing the internet looking at vintage handbags, vintage clothing, and vintage accessories and i found this fabulous bag for only $34.00!! I love the idea of it being a one of a kind! The rustic, authentic peices have a story behind it that is so far past my years...this bag is timeless. The faults are what make it so perfect...see why I'm obsessed?! It is worth every penny but I can't bring myself to spend the money; I'm a broke college kid..I will have to settle with admiring it's beauty from the freaking computer screen! I'm heart broken...
