Opposites Attract

Comparing opposites can be tricky, and if you work in fashion you know that sometimes comparing trends is not always as easy as it sounds. Occasionally you find yourself comparing a pair of gloves or a particular brand of shoelaces to the trends seen during Fashion week. Yes, you might say it's rather similar to comparing apples and oranges. But, that's our job folks...make the shoe laces stand out; create desire and market it so that your consumer wants to purchase it, hold it, smell it, hell, you should make them want to sleep with it! It's absolutely ridiculous but I am completely obsessed with the idea. A lot of creativity and attention to detail and imagination is needed to execute such a project. Fortunately for me I don't have to deal with shoe laces...I work with stylish scarves. Not a whole lot to work with but I use the bright colors and unique designs to my advantage, especially during fashion week. One of my favorite times of the year- I get to enjoy the fresh designs on the runway and focus primarily on the prints and colors. See how I took the latest collection of Theodora & Callum scarves and compared them, almost perfectly, to the trends on the runway of  New York Fashion Week, Fall 2013. Scarf lovers everywhere..you're welcome.
