Hypnotizing colors
I kept it simple today, wearing only this beautiful, colorful abstract chiffon Kimono dress from Charlotte Russe-which you can get here. I kept it simple adding no accessories- the dress is such a statement that anything extra is going to look like added clutter. LOVE this dress. It makes me feel pretty and when something makes you feel pretty, wear it!

Transitional Chic
I'm wearing a gorgeous Petticoat Alley Silk dress, Nine West black leather booties, Mossimo Black leather bomber jacket and gold chain link.leather strap bracelet from Target and Michael Kors gold Aviators.
I love how simple and light weight this dress is-great for the summer-but with some black 'rocker chic' leather booties, a leather bomber jacket and the right accessories, it's a perfect outfit for the transitional period when summer changes to Fall and the mornings are freezing. It's one of those outfits that looks great and feels amazing...and the compliments are even better!

Nude with a touch of Blue
![]() |
| Vintage Calvin Klein dress, Martinez Valero bright blue pumps, a vintage blue crystal necklace worn as a bracelet and I got my Ray-Bans on and I'm feeling good. |
Something borrowed, something nude. Something vintage and something blue!
I LOVE nude. Anything nude is absolutely devine-especially for Fall. From nude flats to dresses, no matter what it is, it will forever be a classic. That is why I die for this dress!! A size 12 vintage Calvin Klein dress- an extremely lucky find at a thrift store in Chicago. Words cannot express the excitement I felt the moment I saw it. The woman who showed me to the fitting room looked at me like I was crazy trying on a size 12, but what she doesn't realize is that a belt can fix anything with a little bit of hemming. ;-)

Gaga's Workshop?...Coming Soon
This morning Barney's New York announced its Holiday 2011 campaign and its got Lady Gaga written all over it. A rare and exciting collaboration between Lady Gaga and many talented and well distiguished artists included: New York based Eli Sudbrack, and Paris based Christopher Hamaide Pierson of Assume Vivid Astro Focus and Mugler's Creative Director Nicola Formichetti (who could forget Muglers Paris Fall/Winter 2011 fashion show, which included Gaga and her notable runway debut) to astonish and inspire fans with Gaga's interpretation of Santa's legendary Workshop.
Starting in mid-November for the holiday initiative, GAGA’S WORK SHOP will take over an entire floor of Barneys New York’s Madison Avenue flagship store. It will feature all things Gaga, such as limited-edition gifts, books, CDs, toys, accessories, makeup, and candy all created by the eccentric performer herself.
As if the whole world isn't gasping for enough air at this very moment over the exciting news, there is more! Hold your breath…To top it all off, in honor of Lady Gaga and in the spirit of the holiday season, Barneys New York will donate 25% of sales from all items featured in GAGA’S WORKSHOP to a charity of Lady Gaga’s choice. Get your credit cards ready people!! Let the madness begin...
“Lady Gaga is a rare cultural phenomenon, not only because of her exceptional talents as a singer, songwriter and performer, but also with regard to her support of equality and individuality and status as a fashion icon.” -Mark Lee, Barneys New York CEO.

Mad for Bold Prints and Bright Colors
| Pictures taken by my wonderful sister and photographer Zenita Hill |
My dress is from a vintage shop in New York City-when I saw it, there was no question-the classic silhouette, bold print and great versatility (not to mention the incredible feel of the fabric) I HAD to have it! I clinched my waist with another ah-mazing vintage find: a color blocked braided rope belt I dug up in a cute little vintage shop my mother and I discovered in the heart of Milwaukee, Wisconsin (I'm telling you, there are vintage shops EVERYWHERE, you just have to look). My watch it Michael Kors-which you can purchase here- and my Simply Vera Wang black platform pumps (I die for these)!
I've spent the past couple days in vintage shops digging up beautiful fashions that others have deemed too old or, worse...too ugly!? *sigh* It breaks my heart, but just as the says goes, "One persons trash is another persons treasure." I truly believe that-if you keep an open mind and you spend time searching, you can find incredible things that have a worth much more than they're given credit for. For example: While vintage shopping, I found a bright purple, genuine snake skin belt tucked away in the back of the belt rack. No one had cared, or bothered to price it accordingly so, after jumping up and down and squealing like a little girl, I ran to the front of the like and paid $0.99. They had no idea! It's beautiful- I will post with it soon so stay tuned. Enjoy the weather-the first glimpse of fall and I'm in love.

In a Galaxy far, far Away...

| Photos taken by my lovely, talented and slightly stupid (haha jk I love you) sister and photographer Zenita Hill |
I'm wearing one of my favorite tops from Nordstrom over an H&M blue pleated skirt with my new, wooden platform heels from Nine West. My accessories consist of my favorites: Michael Kors Rose-gold runway watch; Michael Kors gold oversized studded leather bracelet; a gold studded leather bracelet I found in New York City; A couple bracelets from Forever 21; a brushed gold ring with red stones that was a gift while I was working for Marie Claire.
This is one of my favorites! All the layers and lines, different patterns and fabrics- it's one of those outfits you can't take your eyes off of. My sister is taking a physics course and I've been forced to watch all these incredible movies that tie into the laws of space, the universe and other galaxies. To be honest, it inspired me to create an outfit using these ideas-hence the title. Anyways, I gotta run-Michael Kors is calling my name.
