My dress is from a vintage shop in New York City-when I saw it, there was no question-the classic silhouette, bold print and great versatility (not to mention the incredible feel of the fabric) I HAD to have it! I clinched my waist with another ah-mazing vintage find: a color blocked braided rope belt I dug up in a cute little vintage shop my mother and I discovered in the heart of Milwaukee, Wisconsin (I'm telling you, there are vintage shops EVERYWHERE, you just have to look). My watch it Michael Kors-which you can purchase here- and my Simply Vera Wang black platform pumps (I die for these)!
I've spent the past couple days in vintage shops digging up beautiful fashions that others have deemed too old or, worse...too ugly!? *sigh* It breaks my heart, but just as the says goes, "One persons trash is another persons treasure." I truly believe that-if you keep an open mind and you spend time searching, you can find incredible things that have a worth much more than they're given credit for. For example: While vintage shopping, I found a bright purple, genuine snake skin belt tucked away in the back of the belt rack. No one had cared, or bothered to price it accordingly so, after jumping up and down and squealing like a little girl, I ran to the front of the like and paid $0.99. They had no idea! It's beautiful- I will post with it soon so stay tuned. Enjoy the weather-the first glimpse of fall and I'm in love.
I LOVE LOVE this dress! looks AMAZING on you! :)
ReplyDeleteProps to Zenita and you! The outfit looks amazing and the background scenery chosen is absolutely impeccable. The picture showcasing the parking lines in contrast to your pumps is simply to die for.
