MC Fashion Closet- After Hours

I was reading Sergio Say's on The Daily Front Row's "Chic Report" and I stumbled upon this photo from a late night at Marie Claire. Sergio Kletnoy (Joanna Coles assistant- and if you don't know who Joanna Coles is then I'm sorry...google her...) and a very hyper Taylor Tomasi-Hill were playing around in the closet and started to have their very own photo shoot. They invited us to play along and I gladly obliged. If you are wondering were I am, I am the wide-eyed girl on the far left. I was suppose to be scared but I look as though I saw a ghost! If you haven't already, go read Sergio's blog! He's incredible and absolutely hilarious. Love him...and Taylor..and Ashley, MC's fashion assistant, the one holding the whip in the background.

The View- A Royal Wedding Special

Zanna Roberts-Rassi, the Senior Fashion Editor at Marie Claire was asked to join the girls on The View for the Royal Wedding special yesterday to give all the viewers tips on how to get Kate Middleton's most iconic looks for less. Zanna and Liz Wheelis, her assistant and my good friend, worked their asses off to get those looks perfect and they pulled it off. I ran to Bloomingdales the night before to grab a pair of black wedges because the pair we had went missing!! Of course we ended up finding them but after the segment was over.  It was quite an adventure...

...I woke up at 4AM to be at the MC offices by 6:20AM. Great timing because I was up to catch the start of William and Kates wedding broadcasting which started at 4AM Eastern time. Once we were at the offices Liz and I made sure we had everything we needed ready to go by 6:50AM when the driver was there to pick us up to take us to the abc studios.  When we got there the wedding broadcasting was on every single television around the abc studios.

 I remember Zanna walking in so excited for the wedding. Her first words were about Kate's wedding dress and how gorgeous she looked.."So obvious a McQueen dress."

We all agreed that Pippa looked stunning in her bridesmaid dress which looked somewhat similar to Zanna's Marchesa wedding dress.

Grande SFH Soy Xhot-F Latte

Every morning on my way to work I stop my Starbucks and get my favorite drink. It's my one guilty pleasure/habit  that I can't seem to break-not that I want to. It's a Grande sugar-free Hazelnut, Soy, Extra hot, No-foam Latte. It's taken me a while to perfect this drink but I think I finally got it! P.s. This is one of the few times they've spelt my name right. I get Crista, Crysta, Chrysta, Christa, even Christah but never Krysta...I don't know why, I've stopped caring awhile ago.

I usually arrive to work early so I sit in the Cafe area of Hearst and prepare and center myself for the day ahead of me. I love going to work, absolutely LOVE it but relaxing when you can is key because the days are beyond crazy! 

Fabulous Find-Metal accent

I spent this gorgeous, sunny weekend shopping around the city. I haven't been shopping in forever so it felt good to see all the new goodies that are out for the new season. After spending endless days and nights at Marie Claire, in the fashion closet, I have a whole new perspective of fashion, trends, and about style in general. When I spot these gorgeous shoes at H&M my heart dropped, literally. I fell in love and had to have them. They are just like the shoes that walked on the runway during Michael Kors' Fall 2011fashion show. LOVE

Amanda Hearst is a New York socialite, fashion model, and heiress to the Hearst Media corporation, and the Associate Market Editor at Marie Claire Magazine. She's gorgeous, down to earth, is always smiling and is so talented it's no wonder she has her own blog, "Amanda's Eye Blog," on the Marie Claire website.

Closet Diaries: faux fur

Madison Square Park. The sun is out...beautiful

My roommate and I walked almost 9 miles yesterday, from mid town to the Wall Street/The World Trade Center. It was a long walk but it went by so fast because of the beautiful weather and the ever changing scenery of New York City; walking from Midtown West through the Garment District (my territory <3), to Chelsea through the West/Greenwich Village then Soho and Tribeca-where we made sure to stop by the Smyth hotel where Kim and Kourtney K. stayed during their time in NYC for DASH- to our destination in the Financial District. It was absolutely wonderful, the sun was shining so I threw on my oversized sunglasses...I'm wearing a vintage oversized wool sweater (so warm) with my lovely faux fur vest and chunky black knit scarf from Urban Outfitters, Levi skinny jeans vanilla oxfords I found at a cute shop in Soho a few weeks ago (I really hate myself for not remembering the name of the store because it was absolutely fabulous), my black studded leather gloves and my Michael Kors Hamilton bag in black. I can't tell you how happy I am that I didn't have to put on my huge winter jacket, so liberating. Spring is on it's way! It's so close I can smell it... <3
